In order to further deepen the practice of digital marketing practice in Nigeria, Facebook is launching Blueprint Live in Lagos. The aim of the programme is collaborate, engage, advise and guide digital marketing agencies, managers, planners and strategists in a live workshop on how best to use Facebook and Instagram for marketing. The 2-day event is being led by Elizma Nolte, (Africa’s Head of Marketing) alongside Noha Bashir (EMEA Regional Partner Training Lead, Blueprint), Sifiso Mazibuko (Agency Partner, Sub Saharan Africa at Facebook) and Mathew Sedze Facebook (Regional Product Marketing Manager – SSA).
The Facebook Blueprint is a composite learning platform comprising e-learning, Live and Certification programmes are complementary programmes designed by Facebook to introduce best in class skills, knowledge and best practices on how people can use Facebook and Instagram for business. The Blueprint Live is a physical workshop where participants are organized into teams to plan and implement marketing strategies in a simulated environment.
The growth of Facebook has been phenomenal as the platform recently announced it has reached 2billion users globally. The brand also has succeeded in wading the challenge from transiting from user experience via desktop to mobile. Even in Africa, Facebook is also working to deepen its off-line engagement across all professions, disciplines and competencies.
Two years ago Facebook hosted its Ambassadors Programme in South Africa and anther in Ireland. The brand has also been the sponsor of Social Media Week for both 2016 and 2017.
